Is #Israel’s Sectarian "Divide and Rule" Policy Backfiring? In Lebanon, Druze leader Walid Jumblatt warned Syria’s Druze: “Zionism is using the Druze to suppress Palestinians and expand into Syria.” Jumblatt vehemently opposes the exploitation of the Druze cause to drag the region into a new war, emphasizing: “We must not let our struggle be hijacked to fuel another conflict.”
